 Hello and welcome to Adirondack Stitch!

My name is Tammy. I have grown up in the Adirondacks my whole life so when thinking of a business name for my fiber art, this just made sense.

Currently I only crochet but I have cross stitched and latch hooked as a young adult. There are so many crochet styles that I am dabbling in but I also hope to learn knitting at some point too.

I am located in Saratoga county, which is just below Warren county where the Southern part of the Adirondack Park starts. It is about thirty to forty-five minutes North of me. 

I am a self taught in crochet. I tried when I was a young teen by asking an aunt to help but I didn't spend a lot of time with her so it was difficult having her show me quick then going off on my own. It wasn't until later when I found crochet books at the craft store and learned what the terms where and meant and how to read patterns. Then, video came out! I wasn't a beginner to crochet at this point but I was in terms of certain types of makes. This opened up a whole new world of learning. 

Over the years I have stayed with what I was comfortable with but the last couple of years I have really tried to expand my knowledge and learn new stitches, wearables, hats etc.

I look forward to expanding my knowledge and making new friends within this community.
